Changes to California State Laws for Certain Undocumented Immigrants in 2015

In 2015, several new laws will take effect in California benefiting individuals without lawful immigration status. While federal executive action has received the majority of the attention of late, other beneficial state laws will include an expansion of financial aid for college, funding for legal representation for certain unaccompanied minors, and another which will permit those eligible for a special driver’s license under AB 60 to purchase low-cost auto insurance.
